Michelin Star restaurant El Invernadero opens its doors in Monaco this summer

Rodrigo de la Calle's Michelin star restaurant El Invernadero moves into its summer quarters at Odyssey, in Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo.
Every year during the summer season, the restaurant Odyssey opens its doors to a non-resident clientele. Odyssey has always given precedence to top-notch gastronomy featuring fresh, high quality, seasonal ingredients, prepared with real precision to guarantee their authentic taste. On evenings throughout July and August, from Tuesday to Saturday, the restaurant El Invernadero will open its doors in this exceptional setting. Christophe Cussac, the hotel's Executive Chef, has in fact invited the Chef from Madrid and his entire kitchen brigade to recreate on site his gastrobotanic cuisine. Rodrigo de la Calle will further enhance the magic of the setting by presenting his unique gastronomy based on respect for nature, where vegetables take the starring role.

“I am very moved to be here in Monaco this summer,” confides the Chef. “In fact, my collaboration with the Joël Robuchon Laboratory since 2014 was a defining moment in my professional career. Monsieur Robuchon always had faith in me; he was also convinced that the future of gastronomy would consist of locally produced ingredients, and that the future would be green! Today, I am extremely proud to be able to share this common vision with clients at the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo.”

About Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo

Ideally situated in the Carré d'Or, within walking distance of the Casino, Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The sumptuous Belle Epoque property was built in 1889. It was fully renovated in 2004 by famous French designer Jacques Garcia, who transformed it into a palace of 125 rooms and suites with a Mediterranean charm in keeping with its era, combining glamour, sophistication and sensoriality. Three restaurants, inspired by Joël Robuchon and run by Christophe Cussac, offer a unique and varied culinary experience for the discerning palate. With two Michelin stars, "Restaurant Joël Robuchon Monte-Carlo" specializes in refined dishes with Mediterranean flavors. "Yoshi", Joël Robuchon's only Japanese restaurant in the world, has one Michelin star and offers traditional Japanese cuisine in a bold and contemporary setting designed by Didier Gomez. Finally, Joël Robuchon's third restaurant "Odyssey" unveils its charming setting by the pool, with an Haute Couture décor designed by Karl Lagerfeld, and a menu inspired by the Mediterranean that celebrates fresh seasonal produce and light cuisine. In collaboration with the House of Givenchy, the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo opened the Spa Metropole by Givenchy in April 2017. Designed by architect Didier Gomez and beautifully integrated into this luxury hotel, it embodies the same philosophy shared in the House's venues: exceptional location, luxurious spaces, sophisticated care treatments, and absolute pleasure and well-being.
